Dr. Combs was born and raised in Indiana and went to high school in Laurel Indiana where he was president of his senior class. After graduating high school he went to work as a police officer on the Connersville City Police Dept in 1982 and worked there for seven years as a patrolman. He also enlisted in the United States Army National Guard a year later. John went from the Connersville Police Dept to the Cambridge City Police Dept in 1989 where he worked as a patrolman for another eight years. During his last few years as a police officer for Cambridge he attended Indiana University and obtained his associates degree in nursing, graduating in May 1996. He then went to work as a Registered Nurse at the Rushville Memorial Hospital where he worked all units to include ICU, Med-Surg, and ER until January 1999.
He then went back to school and obtained his Bachelor's degree in Human Biology and Doctorate degree in Chiropractic from Logan College of Chiropractic in St. Louis, Missouri, graduating in December 2002. Dr. Combs then opened his own Chiropractic practice in Greenfield in 2007 and joined another practice with a fellow colleague in Evansville Indiana. He then volunteered for deployment to Iraq as a Combat Medic and was deployed in August 2008. After his tour in Iraq John was discharged in January 2010 and moved to California to live with his sister. While in California he attended C.A.S.S in Deland, Florida where he studied to be a private contractor. Also while in California John attended Orange Coast College in Costa Mesa, California where he received a two year certification and his A&P license as an Aircraft Maintenance Technician. Dr. Combs then moved back to Indiana and practiced as a chiropractor before eventually moving to Mount Airy, North Carolina.
Dr. Combs has been blessed with two beautiful children, Autumn and Johnny, and he has seven grandchildren. He has a sister who lives in California and a brother and sister who live in Indiana.
Dr. Delp’s passion is chiropractic. In his sophomore year of high school he choose to become a chiropractor after an injury in baseball that left him almost unable to walk. His parents took him to many different doctors without success but a chiropractor (Dr. Terry Cronin) corrected his problem, got him back to playing baseball again, and literally changed the future of his life. He decided he would work hard to become a chiropractor and help change others’ lives too.
He is very active in his profession. He has been a board member for the North Carolina Chiropractic Association. He has served as the President over the middle of North Carolina for the North Carolina Chiropractic Association. He has stepped in and helped the Board of Chiropractic Examiners on several occasions. Dr. Delp is certified in acupuncture. He is becoming Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Board Certified in Clinical Nutrition. Dr. Delp speaks around the state and helps teach other chiropractors.
Adam Delp is married to Tammy Delp and has two boys Gad and Asher. He is an Ultra Marathon Athlete and has competed in several 50K, 50 mile, 100k, and even 100 mile races. He finished in top 10 in a 108 mile race in Patagonia Chile. Dr. Delp also enjoys competitive shooting.
